Yeah so, been busy lately and I really want to go into the house and watch the premeire of Glee or Dancing With The Stars; we have east and west coast network channels so I can watch one of them later but not both and if I TIVO'd them I'd never get around to watching it anyway but I need to do things--like this blog entry--and you either pay the price of discipline or you pay the price of regret but either way you must pay. And that is true about every single aspect of your life.
You eat right or pay the price later. You excerise or pay the price later. I think you get my point.
Now this is where it gets interesting; some things seem like a heavy price at the beginning but long term that is when the real cost shows up and you see the hard road was the easy road in disguise. So while you can easily see why discipline in nutrition and activity makes such a difference you may not get the connection to all of your habits including habitual ways of thinking. You are what you think about all day long. If you are the kind of person who listens to radio or tv programs that are all about negativity then negativity shows up in your life b/c it can't not show up.
People who constantly worry about their health ususally have health concerns. I have a neighbor who is constantly concerned with his health. In the past year he has been in the hospital a half dozen times. And since he moved here several years ago that has been his pattern. He has developed a number of health conditions including diabetes for which he lost 3 toes last year. And I could go on about his conditions but I think you can see that he focuses on being sick so he is sick. I myself focus on being grateful for my health and so I am healthy. That was not always the case. I was born with a condition that caused me great pain for a number of years until I learned that I had everything to do with my health; now I am pain free for over 2 years. It's all a matter of what you think about.
