Yeah that’s right, gonna be talking about your ‘tude today. If you can make the connection between your attitude and everything about your life & you are living into that then congratulations, you are on the right track. But if you are not, then this posts for you.
I can’t tell you how much my life has improved since I realized that I had a bad attitude and changed it. Today I have an attitude of gratitude and that has made all the difference.
So how do you know if you have a bad attitude? it’s in the little things usually. Say you go shopping, there are great deals, you run into some old friends that you haven’t seen for a long time, you find exactly what you wanted in record time and yet later when someone asks you about your day you say something like; I had a terrible time finding a parking space. Or say your child cleans his or her room and asks you to come look. Everything looks great but one little thing. You may not say anything to the child but it was so very noticeable to you. Sort of like going into a hotel room in Hawaii, looking out the window and seeing only the water spots on the glass instead of the view. Perhaps your partner wants to buy a car or a house and all you think about it the taxes or insurance costs. You try a new restaurant and the food is all great except one side dish was not warm enough. When someone asks you about the restaurant you only mention the side dish that you didn’t like. These examples could go on but I think you get my point.
Know anyone that always complains? A complaint is the opposite of gratitude and I think if you give it much thought or study you will notice that the persons list of complaints never end because his or her life never improves. Why is that? Because they focus on what they don’t like. What you focus on increases. So spend some time every day thinking about what was great and if that is a challenge then spend 5 minutes every day making a list of at least 5 things you are grateful for. Seriously-take a look around you and see that you are surrounded by things to be grateful for.
